Question
When should I RSVP by?
Answer
We kindly ask that you RSVP by July 1, 2026. Please reach out to us personally if you have a specific circumstance that might need more time.
Question
What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
3:00pm at Casa Antonieta. We will proceed to the reception almost immediately after the ceremony so please plan accordingly.
Question
Is there a dress code?
Answer
Yes! It is black tie formal. Please look at our Wedding Details section of our website for inspiration.
Question
Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
Yes! We have hotel recommendations under our Hotel & Travel Logistics section of our website, but we encourage guests to choose their own accommodations.
We are not doing wedding hotel blocks for this wedding. We want to give our guests full flexibility to pick the scale of hotel experience they'd like in Oaxaca. We hope this makes it the easiest for everyone's budgets.
We suggest for convenience to have it be one of the hundreds of hotels within walking distance of Casa Antonieta or the main plaza (where Jardín Etnobotánico is located) .
Question
Are kids welcome?
Answer
Big YES! Kids and babies are all welcome - and will even have a special kids table at the wedding.
Question
Do I need to rent a car?
Answer
Absolutely not. One of our appeals of Oaxaca City is that our guests would not have to drive. You will need a private taxi or Didi (the ride-sharing app, ie. Uber of Oaxaca) from the airport, and that's it. Oaxaca City is a fully walkable city, which is why we also suggest getting a hotel close to the central plaza or Casa Antonieta so that you can take full advantage of the walkability.
Question
Will there be a rehearsal dinner or welcome party?
Answer
We will have a very optional welcome party, most probably in a mezcaleria, the day before the event (30th of December), but we want everyone assured that it is VERY optional. We want guests to enjoy the most out of Oaxaca and appreciate their travels - so this is only for family or guests who would like to join up the day before the event. Or for anyone who wants to cross off drinking some mezcal on their Oaxaca trip! (a big checklist item) Details on this event will be shared closer to the day.
